Strange Spiral light on the sky of Tromso City, Norway

It was reported as a failed Russian missile test that spark a strange spiral light over the sky Norwegian city of Tromso, prompting explanation of meteor, northern lights, UFO and failed missile.

News report on 10 December, 2009 from AFP cited the images were consistent with that of missile failure, as major embarrassment for the military and such sightings were reported before when missile failed in the upper layer of the atmosphere.
