Why god doesn't exist - an asian diary

My hypotesis that god don't exist got me slammed a number of times that even I have lost count of.

Being born into a very religious family otherwise known as superstitious, I was grew up to believe in the existence of God. I never question God or being more precisely described as "dare not question" its teaching be it true or not until I was over my twenties. I followed without questioning whatever being related to God or was told to follow because its god's instruction.

Have you ever, some time in your life pray to god asking for something which you believe that would never happend if you wouldn't have prayed for it? Did it happened? I prayed before asking and my prayer was answer. It seems like a miracle for me back then because it really did happened and my wish came true. Not once did that kind of miracles happened. On many occasion it did, and the miracle seems to repeated itself whenever I prayed for it. I believed it had happened to many other people from different races and different culture and practices as well. In present day and in the past too.

People are having a tough time trying to reason out the happening, if they were to tried to explained it, say for someone back a few hundreds years ago. The only explanation they are more willing to accept is perhaps - God.

Being in a community that give high respect and have a very strong believe in gods and deities I was made to follow many rules purportedly in giving respect to these deities. In my custom, we burn josstick, offer fruits, vegetable, wine, tea and even poultry offering whenever there is a celebration. The custom has make it as such that the best that we have are being offered to deities as an expression of gratitute in return for their blessing and protection in our endeavours. We followed the custom without question for years.

The messenger as we called it, is a certain group of people that is believed to have the privilege or the ability to communicate with god. People who experience encounters would consult these messenger for help. For instance, have you seen a toddler would cry in the middle of the night for no apparent reason? Consulting these god messenger, they would perform a short ritual in front of the avatar and within a few days the toddler would healed - the toddler stop crying in the middle of the night. Does it happened? Yes, I've seen and I've experienced it myself on many occasion. Every time this happens, it reaffirm the believe of god and deity in the community. For a reason we can't explained in modern science and with no scientific evidence what so ever, one would almost without fail - says its 'god'.

I can still recall very well, on an occasion, a friend told me his encounter with a messenger who can communicate the chinese deity, god of fortune 'Tua Pek Kung'. Its purportedly that this messenger had given prediction numbers and there are people who strike lottery winning with his predictions. Beside giving number, this messenger also gives consultation to people having health problem. Coincidently, that period is when SARS (the deadly bird flu) occur. There was a person who is out of concern for the disease, went to ask 'Tua Pek Kung' how to cure SARS!

The messenger couldn't provide a cure and instead answered he would need time to seek a solution. As anyone would have known, there wasn't a cure or vaccine yet that could prevent SARS.

Coming to analyse these facts, why would the toddler's middle of the night crying can be solved with a simple praying ritual but not in the case of SARS? The messenger is, no doubt has some kind of senses that can help him cure person with strange encounter but not the real threat like SARS. I don't believe that healing force came from god. It's coming from the Universe! Whoever truely believe and react (because they believe) will received. That's the power of the universe.

It's difficult for people to visualize receiving blessing or their prayer answered from a power source with no shape or faces. Its easier for people to believe or simply because want to believed that this power source from the Universe has a face, look very similar to human and many would wanted to believe this power source from the Universe was once a upon time - a human.

In my hypothesis, that's why westerner's god has a face that resemble a westerner. A chinese deity has faces that look like Chinese people and Indians have deities with Indian look. People in the olden days just couldn't visualize a god that belongs to other race maybe because of the fact that they don't know the existence of others and also other races' encounter with miracles just like they did.

Since all races on this planet have do a word in their own native language which describe God, its right to assume all human regardless of their races and religion believes, have been in the past experience encounter with this higher force of the Universe long before modernization. For centuries these experience past down to their heir as fairy tales, legend, cultures, as tribes believe and even as religion.

Almost all religion from all the races around the world describe god as having a human outlook, and has gender either female or male. All would agreed these god have powers beyond what a normal human could do. All races perform praying ritual unique to its own believing of how to pay respect to god.

Why do human pray? To ask for protecting, assistance, forgiveness for sins and blessing from god. Some religion made sacrifice of animal as offering to god and there are also some who believe god would love to receive just flowers.

For ages, no one dare ask or question the existence of god. For those who dare asked, will get lots of bashing not from god but from people, or so call god believers and followers.
