The Giant squids are invading the California beaches - that was the news update from yahoo.

In an article from the AP explains that some squids weigh up to 60 pounds, but most tip the scales somewhere between 20 and 40 pounds. Scientists around the world attribute the growth of giant squids to climate change.
Despite their intimidating heft and tendency to spew ink, the squids aren't scaring off local fishermen. As of today, around 400 of the giant squids have been nabbed by anglers. That number is likely to rise. An article from San Diego 6 explains that locals "started booking twilight fishing trips over the weekend to catch them."

The giant squid also known as Jumboldt squid made headlines in last September when a 19 ½-foot-long, 103-lb was pulled from the Gulf of Mexico.

Its lucky for the squids to have landed in beaches of the America continent, they won't be so lucky if they landed themselves in China.  The chinese is said to have great appetite for rare delicacy and known for their ways of cooking all kinds of exotic foods.  Giant squid - not a problem.
